Slammin’ Steve was born and raised in Ohio.  He developed a love for music and at an early age.  In addition to his affection for jazz, he enjoys new wave, punk, disco, electronic, alternative, and grunge music.  Steve moved away seven years ago but returned to Dayton late in the summer of 2008 and landed a job driving The ‘Love Bus’ shuttle for the Chevy dealership downtown.  One day he was searching for something good to listen to and he came across 89.5 FM.  Steve used to stop by WDPS headquarters to say hello to the staff and one day Hippie asked Steve if he would like to host his own show.  Thus, “Slammin’ Steve's ‘Jazz Love Experience” was born!  Each weekday, Steve has his ‘Love Bus’ radio tuned to WDPS so he and his passengers can enjoy Dayton’s Home for Jazz.  You can catch ‘Slammin’ Steve’s Jazz Love Experience’ Sunday afternoons at 1pm on wdpsfm.com.
